Working at Thorpe Park in Admissions being a slave to customers for minimal money and hard effort. Also shit hours and demoralising. This just gives me more drive to succeed in life and not end up in some shitty run-of-the-mill job.

Update
This blog is mainly for me to read and remind myself of things I would have otherwise forgotten about, a sort of diary.
Recently been downloading hip hop!? Suddenly discovered a liking and appreciation for it. The beats and melodies really are hard hitting and powerful in a loud environment. 'Hate It Or Love It' is such a good tune.
To Do List:
Learn Synthmaker for Level 2.
Download more music
Get Huge External HDD
New Computer / laptop
New Guitar
Mixer (Mackie?)
Learn Covers
Research more thoroughly into breakbeat & Electro
Go to more gigs

Currently listening to...
I've been pushing the boat out rather a lot lately to come across new/old music which I haven't heard before. Recently stumbled into the Led Zeppelin BBC Sessions which are quite raw and live which is always good! Barefoot Jerry, Stalk Forrest Group, Jim Morrison's American Prayer album, which on a first listen seems to be the band jamming over his memoirs of poetry and ramblings... This has tied in nicely with the fact that I only just saw The Doors movie with Val Kilmer in - An interesting insight. Quicksilver messenger Service and the Wizards Of Kansas. This is only a fraction of some of the stuff, but it's hard to get the time to listen to all through.
Tributes
Jerry Garcia.

"There's no way to measure his greatness or magnitude as a person or as a player. I don't think eulogizing will do him justice. He was that great - much more than a superb musician with an uncanny ear and dexterity. He is the very spirit personified of whatever is muddy river country at its core and screams up into the spheres. He really had no equal. To me he wasn't only a musician and friend, he was more like a big brother who taught and showed me more than he'll ever know. There are a lot of spaces and advances between the Carter Family, Buddy Holly and, say, Ornette Coleman, a lot of universes, but he filled them all without being a member of any school. His playing was moody, awesome, sophisticated, hypnotic and subtle. There's no way to convey the loss. It just digs down really deep." - Bob Dylan

1945-2006

Many of my peers know little about him. I was lucky enough see him live at least 3 times and everytime was immense. The thought that he wrote Forever Changes at the age of 19, is a milestone in itself. He even said that on Later with Jools Holland that the album was ahead of its time and didn't receive much critical acclaim at the time. For me personally, A House Is Not A Motel live version with the epic post solo lick is intense. I still mourn the loss of this hidden gem.

I'm new to the blogging scene, so it may take me a while to get into the swing of things before I start writing content of any real structure and depth. Invites to other peoples blogs are more than welcome.
